Ahmed advises shareholders, founders and boards on the matters that shape a business: governance and disputes, transactions and capital raising, and the reorganizations that carry a company and a family forward.
He does his best work in special situations, where the answer is not obvious and a matter needs to be solved, not simply advised on. His experience runs from heavy industry to high-growth technology, so he adapts quickly to new territory and sees the commercial reality behind the legal question from the perspective of the business.
Having lived and worked across North America, Europe, North Africa and the Middle East, and fluent in English and Arabic, he understands how business is done across cultures, which shapes how he structures and negotiates deals.
Ahmed holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Southampton and a Master of Laws from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University.
